guest blogging at miranda today!

Hey everyone,

my beautiful, amazing, talented mama friend is off enjoying time with her new family member, in the meantime she asked us to make a guest post for her! go take a look at just add more sprinkles to see what we did!

in the meantime, i was down in the states for a bit of shopping and realized the love i have (apparently) for bird decor? who would have known. Anyways, i picked up this adorable piece for $5!:



and these amazingly adorable canisters, all three of them for under $20 total! i fell in love with them right away and they quickly became mine:

abandoned village

hey everyone! my husband and i went for a bike ride last weekend ( we go quite a bit ) the ride was a bit of a let down, kind of boring and the trail just ended abruptly but here's a picture from the trip i like:



on the way home, we passed this little village that was completely abandoned for years. there was probably 9 or 10 houses, all abandoned! the weird part was, someone still cuts the grass through the whole village. the houses are totally unsafe, the patios feel like they will cave in under your feet, i wouldn't even consider going inside the houses! here are some pictures:

the new place - a few months late.

so i figured i'd post a couple of pictures of the new place.. some things still are done so i won't be posting pictures.. for example i still need to upholster the sofa which is throwing the living room off a bit! one thing about this place that makes it very difficult is that nothing is centered. the dining room window is not centered to the wall or the light fixture which throws everything off a bit.

i can't find a picture of the buffet from before so this will have to do! i got this free on craigslist./ also here is a picture pf beefy being lint rolled.

here is the almost after, there were still a few pictures hung up and the chandelier still needs to be lowered. in the background you can see the buffet which now as glass knobs on it ( the doors are open, not crooked ). the mobile picture makes it look a bit more blue than it really is, the picture above is a bit more accurate. Jonah picked the colour, i'm really happy with it.



the thing with this place is that because it's so open, there are short choppy walls everywhere which makes picture hanging really difficult. the clock you see on top left is higher than i would like it but there are light switched and heater switches and.. well whatever. anyways that's the dining room ALMOST FINISHED. i'd say ill take some better pictures later - but we all know that probably won't happen.

i should note, we will be doing crown molding as well top & bottom, but we have a few trips we need to take first!
