christmas day - masons birthday.

Today is/was christmas, we all received the most amazing gift. We had a HUGE surprise when my sister in law brandi went into to labor.. Please welcome my little ham mason william macdonald into the world at a whopping 8lbs 6oz. The last time i cried that hard was when my niece was born. mason, I love you! you are the best christmas gift i (we) ever could have asked for.

i don't feel inspired by anyone in particular.. but style at home usually has a section that inspires my husband to divorce me because it means re decorating.I think my favorite style at home issue was actually one that my dear friend carly ( who makes amazing flowers, bowties, headbands & more, go check her out) from all things carly posted about some time ago. only the picture of the bed was in style at home, so I literally just stole these from her blog, ( sorry carly )see style at home inspirational photo below:

there is actually a few more of us, there is a trifecta ( with a shorter kick stand.. krystal you know who you are! ) of us, shit gets crazzzzzzy. we really need a group picture.

this one wasn't too hard. three people.. again

first. I knew amanda was a good person and someone i wanted to keep as a friend. she's always given the best advice and we have the good kind of friendship.. kind of like a bromance, every girl needs a bromance. we don't bitch or get catty we enjoy the same things and it's just groovy. I realized how lucky i was when my wedding came, she was just there for me. a wedding is huge and i think the only reason i was able to get through it was because of her. it's hard to come by a good true friend, but i feel like i finally have.

second. my dad. plain and simple, papas been there for me with everything. i can't even think of the amount of times i've called him bawling my eyes out just because. the secrets we've shared and the overall bond we have. i'm not sure why things happened the way they did but for whatever reason by dad I stuck by each other. I don't know if the "good morning sweetheart" texts i get every day, or the "we have 29 ft of snow" when it's just started flurrying but he's my best friend and my favorite comedian. i love you dad.



auntie janet you're included in this too, for reasons like my dad. you've been the person i could talk to, colour with and craft with.. ICQ with, enjoy christmas with & farmville with. you're the one person who has truly understood me for who i am and the one person who never judged me for the decisions i make. when you know i'm wrong, you still love me & let me do my thing. i love you too auntie.

day 8 - a picture that makes you laugh

this is brandon, my best friends husband at our wedding. he is the funniest person i have ever met in my life. to this day i have not seen a funnier picture.. i still laugh at it. he had heat stroke & was more red then a tomato. this picture makes my life. this picture is twice the size of others for a reason.

day 7 - most valuble item

my most valuble isn't an item, it's my cat. she's my baby and i couldn't live without her. i also have this doll my aunt made, it looks my grandpa.. if i had to choose an item it's be grandpa doll. i don't know how i came across grandpa doll, but i did.

Day 6 - who would I like to trade places with?

I would like to trade places with oprah for one day.. That gives me time to empty her bank account. Forgive me for the late post.. I've been knocked out cold since 3 pm from some muscle Relaxers. I don't know why simon is in this picture but i'm not about to photoshop him out..

day 5 - favorite memory

my favorite memory is the first time went to the resort we got married. it was winter and the snow fell the first night we were there. it was so quiet our alarm clock was seals on the beach. here's john on the driftwood.

just one more thing..

one other thing i would like to share tonight, is the closing we had our wedding ceremony. maybe i'm putting this on here so it's easily accessible to me and nothing makes me more sappy, but you won't hear me say that. when i read this for the first time, i started to cry (see, sappy!).

You have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment. At some point, you decided to marry. day 2 - a picture of myself and the person i'm closest with

this was a tough one, i decided i was going to bend the rules. i've been close with two people. first is my best friend, my dad. no one has been there for me like my dad has and i feel like aside from my husband he's my other half. my dad is always the person i looked up to because he's worked for everything he's ever had, and raised me to do the same. I love my dad. second is my husband (obviously), he's my other best friend and my other other half. there's nothing like the late night "i can't sleep let's talk until sunrise" that you just can't have with anyone else.

tonight john and I went to bright nights in stanley park. We tend to go everywhere & it's always been amazing! this year was no exception. firefighters collection for the burn fund on your way out just makes it that much better! here's a few pictures:

days off

today was one of my many days off, i really like days off. i would have a baby just for the maternity leave ( moms please don't be offended ). today my girlfriend trish from work came over wide eyed and early to dye my hair.. it was an adventure in itself. we although though we would need all day to find her dress for the christmas party that's im conveniently not attending.. it took about an hour. for dinner we went to this place called antons, i'm not sure if it was worth the wait outside ( because it's so busy ) the food was alright and the tirmasu sucked.

any of you who really know me, know how much i love christmas. i'm going to show you guys the stockings i made but i first i would like to introduce you to my family that i told you about in my profile..


this is beefy, he's 6 months old we bought him & still keep in touch with his mom & dad:
